Most people arrive describing a symptom rather than a service. Find yours below — and if none of it fits, ring and describe it. That’s the quickest route either way.
Rattle on cold start
Usually a timing chain, and the earlier it’s looked at the smaller the job.
Engine light or limp mode
Could be a dozen things. Testing is how you avoid paying for the wrong one.
DPF or AdBlue warning
AdBlue faults count down to a no-start. DPF blockages get worse with every short trip.
Failed its MOT elsewhere
We don’t test, so we’ve no stake in the result — we just fix what was listed.
Squealing, grinding or pulling
Pads, discs and fluid. Grinding means stop driving it and ring us.
Knocking over bumps
Springs, shocks and bushes. A snapped spring is an MOT failure and a safety issue.

Timing chains & beltsOff-vehicle DPF cleaning
The filter comes off the car and is cleaned properly, rather than an additive poured in and a hopeful drive down the bypass.
DPF cleaningAdBlue repairs
Injectors, pumps, tank heaters and NOx sensors. If your car is counting down to a no-start, ring rather than book online.
AdBlue repairsWalnut blasting
Carbon build-up cleaned off the intake valves of direct-injection engines with crushed walnut shell, cylinder by cylinder. Usually shows up as a misfire, rough idle or flat spot.

Regas for older R134a and newer R1234yf systems, with nitrogen leak testing to find why it lost its gas before we refill it.

What we’re known for
Jaguar Land Rover Ingenium 2.0
Discovery Sport, Evoque, F-Pace, XE and XF. Timing chain stretch, oil dilution, DPF problems, turbo failure and piston cooling solenoid faults — the Ingenium cluster of issues that tend to arrive together rather than one at a time.
People drive a long way to bring us these, which is worth knowing if you’ve been quoted for a chain by somebody who’ll be doing their first one on your car. If you’re travelling, ring ahead and we’ll hold a slot for the day you arrive.

Anything new gets a phone call
If we find something else once we’re in, you hear about it before we touch it. No surprises on the invoice.
What we don’t do. We don’t fit tyres or do wheel alignment, and we no longer offer valeting or detailing. It’s quicker to say so here than to have you ring and find out.
